Tell Me About Sales Referral Sources
Learning who is buying from you -- and what paths they are traveling to find your items -- can be an invaluable tool in knowing where to spend your listing efforts, and how well your promotional efforts are working.
For our premiere subscribers, we are currently reporting the following information to help sellers get a handle on who is buying from them.

Sales Sources
Where did people come from before buying your items? Some possible places:
- Google (organic): An organic Google search, that is, a search where the user simply types a search query into Google and they were presented with your item as a result. This can be a bit misleading, since sometimes Google organic searches will include a preview of three Google Products results -- in this case, the entrance would technically be an "organic" hit, though it occurred because of your Google Product listing. Google's placement of your item is generally determined by the number of unique keywords in your item title and description.
- Google (products): Google Products search. Also known as "the place your items show up when they're published to Google Base." After your items are present on Google Products, you can increase their positioning by adding Google attributes, offering free shipping, and linking your Google Base account to your Google Checkout account.
- Direct / Bonanzle.com: The buyer found your item after visiting Bonanzle directly.
- Email: A buyer entered Bonanzle and bought your items after receiving an email that led them here.
- Others: If not the above, we'll still give you the name of the site that the buyer came from (i.e., your blog, your web page, an outside forum, etc.)
Pages on Bonanzle Visisted before Buying
How did a browser on Bonanzle become your buyer? This will tell you the last page the person visited on the site before wandering into your booth or item. Some possible values include:
- Bonanzle search
- Buy page
- Saved items list
- Your profile
- The "People" page
- Mesasge forums
- Favorites booth list
- ... and more!
Queries Given to Search Engines that Led to Sales
Here you'll be given a freeform list of all the queries entered into search engines that ultimately led to sales in your booth. Be sure you keep these items in stock if possible -- this shows you which of your items Google has learned about and given high enough search ranking to attract buyer.
