How Can I Increase My Sales at Bonanzle?
One of the most common questions we get at Bonanzle is how to increase sales. It is difficult to form one answer as each situation is unique, so we will try to cover as many topics as we can.
The first thing you need to know is that you will get as much out of Bonanzle as you put into it. Yes, our traffic is increasing daily, as are sales, but you need to make sure you are positioning yourself correctly to take advantage of our growth.
Your Profile
Is your profile filled out? Do you have a user picture? Are you including blogs and social pages in your profile where
potential customers can learn more about who they are dealing with?
Have you imported your feedback from eBay?
Your Booth
Are your items priced correctly? Do you have sharp images?
Have you optimized your titles and descriptions to capture your target audience?
Are your descriptions interesting and do they answer every question a buyer might have?
Do your listings have old text or irrelevant links brought over from another marketplace? Do you have enough
items in your booth?
Have you exported items to Craigslist?
Do you have enough payment options available?
Are your terms clear? What about your return policy? Do you have "Buy it Now" and "Make Offers" enabled?
Have you specified how long buyers can expect to wait before your items will be shipped?
Are you using coupon codes to promote sales?
Have you ever invited a customer to "meet" you at your
booth so you can utilize your booth chat feature? Are you following your item stats
(or Google Analytics) to see which items
are getting traffic and which are not, and adapted the items not getting traffic to be more like the ones that are getting traffic?
Have you followed the tips to publicize your booth items and make more sales?
Remember, customers want to have all of this information yesterday (if you know what we mean), so make sure you are providing them as much information as possible up front.
The Community
Are you participating in the forums at Bonanzle and elsewhere? Remember, sellers buy items too!
Are you including the URL to your booth in all your signatures and social pages? Do your former and existing customers
know where you're conducting business? Are you targeting outside forums that may be of interest in the items you
are offering (i.e. Sports Forums if you sell baseball cards)?
Have you joined the Bonanzle Facebook page? Have you joined the Bonanzle Buyers group on Twitter? Do you participate in the Brainstorming with Bonanzle program weekly?
