Bonanzle's Facebook Teleporter

Our Facebook Teleporter brings Facebook to Bonanzle, allowing you to share any page on Bonanzle with your Facebook friends, and with the Bonanzle community as a whole. It's space-age, yet easy to get started with.

How do I get started?

If you're logged into Bonanzle, you'll see a Facebook icon with the word "Connect" next to it near the right side of the site header (nearby the "login" link). Clicking this will allow you to link your Facebook account with your Bonanzle profile.

How do I post a page?

After your Facebook account is connected to your Bonanzle account, you can click on the word "Facebook" (near the "login" link at the top of your screen) from any page of the site to publish that page (along with your comments) to your Facebook wall and to Bonanzle's "People" page.

What will be posted to my wall?

It depends on what page you're sharing. If you are sharing an item, booth, or hand picked list, we'll publish the title of the item/booth/list, a brief description, and a representative picture of it, along with your comments.

If you're sharing any other page on the site, a link to that page, along with your comment, will be posted to your Facebook profile.

Advanced Questions

When I click on the Facebook link, nothing is happening. What's wrong?

Probably Facebook. It can often take between 5-10 seconds for them to process a link you wish to share. If after an extended period of time you still see nothing, you may try to reload the page and re-click the link.

Also keep in mind that the Facebook Teleporter (like most of Bonanzle) has only been tested in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer 7 or greater.

I don't plan to use the Facebook Teleporter. Can I disable this?

Yep. Just click on the "Connect" link at the top of the page, and choose "Don't show me this again" from your list of choices. If you later decide you want to re-enable it, you can do so via My Bonanzle -> Account Settings -> Other Options.

How do I log out of Facebook from Bonanzle?

There is no adverse consequence to remaining logged into Facebook persistently, but if for some reason you want to log out of your Facebook account, you can mouse over the arrow just to the right of the word "Facebook" in the site header. A drop down will appear, giving you the option to logout.

Is this secure? Does Bonanzle store my Facebook information in their database?

Yes, it is secure. Facebook handles all of the logging in and out from their side, so Bonanzle is never directly involved in validating or storing your Facebook name or password.

My item/booth/list was commented on in a way that I don't approve of. Can I remove the comment?

In the rare event that somebody should make an unwanted comment on something you've created, you can remove that comment by clicking on the comment from the list of Facebook comments (shown via the People page). There will be a link to remove the comment. Note that we can only remove comments made from showing up in our Bonanzle comment list, we have no control over what a user chooses to post to their Facebook wall.

If the user's comment was intentionally malicious, you can notify us at support@bonanzle.com and we will work toward a suitable resolution.
