Bonanzle Fees: Simple, and Locked In Through 2010 For Current Users Lock

First of all, any cash-based transaction is and will continue to be free on Bonanzle. For transactions on Bonanzle that are closed through other forms of payment, such as Paypal, Money Order, and Google Checkout, here is our pricing, which, if you're signed up and reading this, we guarantee will not increase for you through 2010.

Price to post items for sale (including up to four pictures): FREE.

All prices below are based on the Final Offer Value (FOV). This is the price of your accepted offer, plus any shipping for the offer that exceeds $10. See examples below if you have questions.

Final Offer Value 1Fee
Less than $10$0.50 ($0 if registered during beta)
Less than $50$1
Less than $100$3
Less than $1000$5
$1000 or more$10
1 Whether a buyer wants to buy one or more of your items, they are sold as part of an offer, so our fees are per offer that you accept. Thus, you only pay when you sell items.

We hope you won't miss mathematically complex percentage-based pricing calculations when determining how much it will cost to sell your items.

How do I pay my fees?

Pricing Examples

You negotiate with a buyer to sell five of your items for a total of $30 plus $10 shipping. Your total FOV is $40 - $10 = $30, so your total fee is $1.

A buyer buys three of your items for $95. The total shipping for the offer is $14. Your FOV is $109 - $10 = $99, so your total fee is $3.

You sell one item in an offer for $500. You charge $600 for shipping. Your FOV is $1100 - $10 = $1090. You pay $10.

The Fine Print
  • We may choose to offer optional advanced selling features (for example, the ability to view advanced statistics on your items) at a price in the future. However, any non-free features that we choose to add will be purely optional, that is, you won't have to pay for them to be able to sell on Bonanzle.
  • We reserve the right to lower our prices before 2010 if our costs allow it.
  • For the purposes of computing your FOV, it doesn't matter if you close your offer through negotiation or with "Buy Now"

Q. If my fee is only $10.00 to sell a motorcycle for $13,500.00, does Bonanzle also get a percentage of the sale, or just the $10.00 fee when it sells?

A. Just the $ 10.00 and another satisfied customer

Q. Can you add Amazon Payments please?
A. We plan on adding Amazon Payments. The project has made it to “the list” and will be available when time permits.

Q. Is my credit card being charged when I am trying to verify my identity with my credit card when becoming a seller?
A. No. Our system will make a pending charge to verify your identity. The amount is around $ .11 but it will never charge to your account. It will show as “Pending” and then drop off thereafter.

Q. Do we still have to pay seller fees even though an order does not go through?
A. Usually not. First thing you should do is go to your My Bonanzle > Selling activity and review the transaction. On unpaid transactions you may see a “Mark as unpaid” link that you can click which will relist the item and cancel the seller fees. The “Mark as unpaid” option will appear as an option when all of the following are true:

  • The offer has been accepted, but not checked out (i.e., you can’t cancel an offer that was purchased with BIN)
  • The offer accepted at least a week ago
  • The seller has not previously marked the offer as paid

If that is not the case then you can forward the following information to support@bonanzle.com and we will issue a credit. After doing so you can “Permanently hide” the transaction and that should do it.

*Date and amount of transaction
*Buyer and seller user name
*Amount of refund requested
*If you issued a refund to the buyer please include a copy of that as well

Q. My bill is not due yet I owe money to you. When are my fees due?
A. When you have fees due ($ 3.00 or more), there will be a link that appears on your My Bonanzle page, “You have fees due but we can help you fix that.” Clicking on that link will open the billing page where you can either pay your fees one time or you can set up automatic billing.
