Suggest a New Item Trait
Do you wish that a given category had certain traits or choices that it doesn't? Item trait suggestions are the answer.
What can I suggest?
- Add a new trait. You want to add an entirely new trait in a category where the trait doesn't exist. You can suggest a new trait to us, along with what choices you think should be available for that trait?
- Add a new choice to an existing trait. You think that an existing trait needs a choice that it doesn't yet have.
- Copy an existing trait from one category to another. You think a trait that is in a parent category should also be copied to a child category. For example, the category "Handbags & Bags" has a parent category "Women's Accessories." The "Women's Accessories" category has a trait called "Color" which isn't in "Handbags & Bags." You could suggest that we copy the "color" trait from "Women's Accessories" to "Handbags & Bags."
How do I suggest it?
Here's the form for suggesting a new trait. You can also find it on the main Help page on the left side of the page.
What is the approvals process?
We give you a chance to explain why you think that a certain trait should be added to our collection. In evaluating whether to add a particular trait, we try to determine if the suggested trait is sufficiently relevant to warrant inclusion in our hierarchy. By including links and a detailed explanation that justifies your trait suggestion, you'll increase the chances that we see sufficient evidence to approve it.
