Topic: New Item Entry

When I upload my tall image, the top and bottom appear to be cut off. How can I fix it?

The item pictures you see when looking at your booth (we'll refer to them as "booth pictures" in this explanation) use a uniform size that is slightly wider than it is tall, so when you have a picture of a tall item, your booth picture may "cut off" the top and bottom of the item.

For example, say you have the following item picture.

Tall_pic_orig

Here are your options on what to do to get the booth picture you want:

Do nothing. Just upload that tall picture and save item.No crop neededTall_pic_by_default
Crop the best part of the image. To do this, go to the image cropper on the new item form, and move your zoom area to select the part of the image you want to show. Be sure to unselect the checkbox at the bottom labeled "Replace Original Picture." This way, after you crop your item's picture, you'll still have the original version of the picture, so when a person looks at your item they can see both the cropped and uncropped picture.Tall_pic_option_1Tall_pic_option_1_in_booth
Zoom out, leave open space on sides. Go to the image cropper, zoom out as far as possible, and after you crop, your booth picture will show open space on both sides, as shown in the picture.Tall_pic_option_2Tall_pic_option_2_in_booth

When cropping pictures you can move the photo around before zooming out by holding down on you left mouse button and dragging the picture to where you want it to be.
Also ,If you move the slider all the way to the left and zoom out, you will be able to get the whole picture and less likely to cut off the edges and or top and bottom of the photo.
