Topic: New Item Entry
Cropping Pictures
The Picture Cropper is one fly mother. The idea is this: instead of taking one photo of each item and uploading them all, you can lay all of you items on your floor, take one picture of all of them, and use the Picture Cropper to divide the single photo into many. You can also rotate images left or right with the cropper.
Crop your pictures as follows:
- Get a picture on the new item form via upload, gallery, or guess.
- Mouse over an image slot (on the right side of the form) and pick "Crop" from the image options.
- Drag the slide bar at the bottom of the page left or right to zoom the image in or out. See figure at right.

- Drag the picture up, down, left or right so that the part that you want to crop out is in the middle of the picture,
inside the highlighted box. See figure below.

- Click the "Crop" button when satisfied.
Can I change the shape of the crop from a rectangle to something else?
Not currently. The box is that shape because it matches the way the picture will be shown when people look at it in your booth. If we allowed you to crop it in a vertical rectangle or some other shape, it would look strange and distorted when people saw it alongside your other items later on. This consistency is ultimately good for the eye when looking at a group of pictures.
