Welcome To High In The Rockies
.When we were first married and were furnishing our first home we couldn't afford the usual stuff found in the stores so we haunted local auctions, and second hand shops. In doing so we found we liked the warmth and charm of "older" things and that was what we honed in on. Unknowingly this turned out to be a learning period for us, as we trained our "eye" toward the future. Our home then was on the East coast and we saw all of the charming things that one attributes to that area.
Later we were to move to Northern Indiana, in Amish country, and we were to learn about Midwestern and country antiques. We put our knowledge to work then and opened two shops. Needless to say we were hooked. The antiques business took over our life and we started to do shows in our area, gradually expanding to better and better shows throughout the Midwest and occasionally into Pennsylvania and Florida.
We have since moved to Colorado where once again we had another learning experience. The Western way took over and we found out their "old things" were not as old as we were used to seeing, but still held a certain amount of charm. We learned about Mexican silver and Native American jewelry and accessories. Many Westerners have cabins and need things to decorate them as well as their homes. Once again it was different, but nonetheless charming. We have tried to incorporate all of our twenty plus years of learning into our offerings covering East to West. Hope you enjoy them.
After years on eBay, and having found Bonanzle, we will continue here on this wonderful up and coming site.
