Thanks to millions of creative and hardworking and creative people, the world is full of wonderful well-made items that are worth having, handing on, and caring about - estimable collectibles and practical goods for daily and seasonal use.

I only sell second-lived items that I would be pleased to purchase myself - in fact, many of these items are from my personal cabinets and closets and baskets of rescued bits. I often have your missing or replacement piece of a dinner set just like Mom or Grandma had.

The great Staffordshire or Sango or Franciscan or Wedgwood or Mikasa or Varages or Hull or Hall, Syracuse or Shenango (oh, the list goes on!) pieces I offer are always in condition worthy of adoption and upcycling into your home or gift giving.

I love figurines, and acquire them - but they can't all continue to live at my house - I will gradually post some who are ready to leave home for the bigger world - stay tuned.

My usual turf includes McCoy and Hull and Ransbottom and Shawnee or Abingdon and Haeger, Meakin and Maddock and Adams and Grindley, Johnson Brothers, Fire-King and Metlox, Sadek and Manley and cool chalkware - my "usual" is constantly changing; I recognize value when I see it, and try to make it available to online and flea market shoppers at fair prices through friendly and conscientious transactions.

I pack items carefully and well, try to ship within 5 days of cleared payment - and I describe items clearly and as fully as I can - but I'm not perfect, and I try to make it right when I get it wrong. It doesn't hurt to listen, and asking is free.

In the Saint Paul and Minneapolis region I can often find a vintage item at a smalltown price if there's something special you want me to find for you, off here elsewhere in North America. We have some great MCM gatherers, and I have good sources for good stuff - fair return rather than maximum squeeze is my business philosophy.

I have cool pieces of restaurant china - and now that Syracuse has stopped manufacturing in the US I am picking up pieces wherever I find them - I have a big, 12-14 inch Tribute to the Chef display-worthy round platter that is a great item for the restaurateur in your life.

If you are looking for something in particular, let me know! It may be waiting on the sideboard because I just may not have gotten it listed yet.

The rest of the time I teach a college literature and writing courses, consult a bit on "green" building and growing projects, work in my ornamental garden and entertain the best grandchild on the planet.

Keep well, be sweet - and visit often.

You deserve an endorsement for being such a nice and caring person, not everyone would refer..Sissy
