I design and make artisan jewelry using beads, metals and gems. My late husband of 35 years and I started our little company, Sara Jewelry Design, in 2005.
I frequently refer to my Darling Hubby as The Cap'n because he and I sailed the waters of Puget Sound and the Pacific Northwest for many years. How did all that sailing time help me become a better jeweler? Well, my knots NEVER come untied!! LOL!

I am a firm believer in recycling, so much of my packaging is second-time-around, but always sturdy. I also do jewelry repair which, to me, is an ultimate form of recycling. Don't keep your treasures in a Zip-Loc bag, send them to me for a new lease on life.
ON COMBO SHIPPING: I "stuff the box," or combo ship wherever possible, and will send your goodies via USPS at the most favorable rate with a tracking ID number. Favorite methods include First Class for little items such as rings and jewelry items (fast and reasonable); media mail for books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, and so on (starts at 2.23 for the first pound plus .80 for the tracking, then goes up about .50 per pound thereafter). Parcel post for bulky or heavy items. If you need speed, ask for Priority Mail and I will set that amount for you plus .80 for the tracking ID number.
I've set the shipping discount to work this way: If you buy more than one item, the calculator takes the highest posted shipping cost of the items, then knocks 50% off the posted shipping costs of the other items. For example, if you bought a ring whose shipping price was $3.00 and carved jade ring whose shipping price was listed at $1.00, the calculator would take $3.00 + .50, for a total shipping of $3.50. If you bought a brick whose shipping cost was $4.00 parcel post, and a carved jade ring whose shipping was $1.00, and a fabulous gemstone ring whose shipping was $3.00, your total shipping would calculate to $4.00 + .50 + 1.50, and so on.
If the shipping still feels a bit high, use the "Make Offer" button at check out and change the amount to reflect a lower shipping cost. I will take a look at it and see if that will work. If it looks good, I'll accept; if not, I'll counter, and we'll work it out. As long as there's enough to get the item from my place to yours, we're good. My intent is not to make my fortune on shipping but to clean out decades of accumulated treasures.
*INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:* I have expanded international shipping to Canada, Mexico, UK, Australia, Europe, Japan, Asia on jewelry items.
Last of all, my avatar and screen name are an identity I use online. The LOL refers to my status as a Little Old Lady, but I do seem to spend a great deal of time Laughing Out Loud. The pooch in the picture is a beautiful Siberian Husky, which is the mascot of my alma mater.
THE FAIR WARNING SECTION: I believe that 99 persons out of 100 are honest. For that one chucklehead who is not, some things to know: (1) Everything in my booth is an item in my possession. I do not drop ship anything, ever. (2) I sell in exactly two places, here at Bonanzle and on my commercial site. If you see one of my items and its description on any other site, it is being misrepresented! (3) All photographs were taken by me...and it was a slow and painful learning curve. They, along with their descriptions, are protected under copyright. I give no permission, express or implied, for others to use my photographs* or descriptions unless we have contracted in writing. And woe betide the person who lists my items as "theirs" without lawful purchase. De Big Dawg bites!
