PISCINA (Greek for "bathing pool") HANDMADE SOAP presents a safe and healthy way to take care of your skin. I specialize in handmade cold process soap. I use only the finest ingredients so you can be assured that my soaps are safe and good for you. My soaps are made with olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, soybean oil, cottonseed oil, cocoa butter, botanicals, oatmeal, french clay, essential oil or cosmetic grade fragrance oil. For those with really sensitive skin, I carry some unscented soaps.
My mother has very sensitive, dry skin and can only use handmade soap. It was for this reason that I began making handmade soap. I began reading about the benefits of handmade cold process soap. All of the natural glycerin remains in handmade soap. Glycerin is a natural humectant that draws moisture to your skin and locks it in. Most commercial soapmakers remove the glycerin and resale it. Many commmercially made soaps are made with mineral oil. Your body cannot absorb mineral oil but it tries very hard to. The result is dry skin. So treat your biggest organ to a bar of handmade soap. You may never go back to commercially made soaps again! -
