BUT the heat bills we'll pay won't be funny!Hi, My name is Leslie Scott. I've been married for 35 years to Bill, a manufacturer's representative of hardware and paint sundries lines. We moved into a 1915 master bungalow in Cleveland Heights, Ohio in 1981 shortly after our son was born. Greg, now 28 years old, broke the hospital record when he was born weighing 12 pounds 8.5 ounces....which is why we only have one kid.
I've always been a shopaholic pack rat who could see a potential use someday in every fabulous bargain. Well, "someday" came and went after we renovated the house and many of my purchases landed permanent positions in our beautiful home. Everything else was crammed into all the available storage areas for our son. Imagine the fun I had 2 years ago decorating his first apartment! For the first time in a long time I felt I had control of my house. I was even beginning to think about parking in the garage. Greg moved into a new place last week and all of that stuff just came back here!!!
I have fantasized about having my final revenge and leaving it ALL for Greg to clear out years from now after we're gone. But then I read about Bonanzle in the AARP magazine yesterday and I realized there was a place for me and my stuff. Perhaps not the Shopaholic Packrats' Anonymous support group that my husband thinks I need, but a group of kindred spirits who see value in unique wonderful STUFF.
