---------------------------------------------------------A few years ago we started going to yard sales and flea markets trying to find things to sell online.
At one yard sale I found what I thought was a great treasure, 3 U.S. Mint sets 1976,1977,and 1978. Being a seasoned veteran of the yard sale circuit and thinking that I was a smooth operator I quickly talked the guy into selling me the sets for $10.00 a piece. I went home right away and listed these "treasures" for $9.99 each and sat back to watch the money roll in.
Well 7 days later I was still the owner of 3 proof sets.
I looked in the Yellow pages and found a couple of coin shops in the area.
First trip to the coin shop and I was hooked. All of the history that was in that store was amazing.
Then we discovered Currency and I was completely blown away.All the Large size notes with the incredible artwork was just unbelievable. But it was the Confederate currency and the Obsoletes that really drew me in.
We now go to auctions, shows, and estate sales every chance we get. Some things we buy are for our collection and some are to make more money to spend on our collection. Oh yeah and the kids and bills and stuff.
